How to Make Your Reed Diffuser Last Longer
Get the Most from Your Reed Diffuser
Reed diffusers are a wonderful way to keep your home smelling beautiful without any flames or electricity. Follow these simple tips to make your diffuser last as long as possible!
🌟 Top Tips for Longer-Lasting Fragrance
1. Start with Fewer Reeds
Don't use all 50 reeds at once! Start with just 5-8 reeds. This gives you a lovely scent without using up your liquid too quickly. You can always add more reeds if you want a stronger fragrance.
2. Choose the Right Location
Keep your diffuser away from:
- Direct sunlight and windows
- Radiators and heating vents
- Air conditioning units
- Draughty areas
Heat and airflow make the liquid evaporate much faster!
3. Flip Reeds Wisely
Flipping your reeds gives an instant scent boost, but doing it too often uses up your liquid quickly. We recommend flipping once a week for the perfect balance.
4. Match Size to Room
Use smaller diffusers in smaller spaces (bathrooms, hallways) and larger diffusers in bigger rooms (living rooms, open-plan areas). A small diffuser in a large room will empty quickly trying to fragrance the space.
5. Top Up with Refills
When your diffuser gets low, top it up with one of our reed diffuser refills. This is much more economical than buying a whole new diffuser!
💡 How Long Should a Reed Diffuser Last?
With proper care:
- 100ml diffusers: 4-6 weeks
- 200ml diffusers: 8-12 weeks
- 500ml diffusers: 4-6 months
- 1 litre diffusers: 8-12 months
These are approximate times and will vary based on room conditions and how many reeds you use.
🔄 When to Replace Your Reeds
Reeds can become clogged with dust and fragrance over time. Replace them every 2-3 months, or when you notice the scent isn't as strong even after flipping.
