Village Pottery FAQ - Everything You Need to Know
Village Pottery Frequently Asked Questions
What is Village Pottery?
Village Pottery is a charming collection of handcrafted ceramic pieces designed to look like miniature houses, shops, and cottages. Each piece is beautifully detailed and serves as both a decorative item and a functional tealight holder or wax melt warmer.
How do Village Pottery pieces work?
Most Village Pottery items are tealight holders or wax melt warmers. You simply place a tealight candle or wax melt inside the piece, light it (for tealights), and enjoy the warm glow that shines through the windows and details of the pottery. The heat from the tealight will also melt wax melts, releasing beautiful fragrances throughout your home.
What's the difference between a tealight holder and a wax melt warmer?
Tealight Holders: These have a space for a standard tealight candle. The light glows through the windows creating a cosy ambiance.
Wax Melt Warmers: These have a dish on top where you place wax melts. The heat from the tealight below melts the wax and releases the fragrance.
Many of our Village Pottery pieces can work as both!
Do Village Pottery items come with tealights or wax melts?
Village Pottery pieces are sold separately from tealights and wax melts, unless specifically stated in the product description. We stock a wide range of tealights and wax melts that pair perfectly with your Village Pottery collection.
What size tealights do I need?
Standard tealights (approximately 38mm diameter) work perfectly with all our Village Pottery pieces. We stock packs of tealights in various quantities.
How do I clean my Village Pottery?
Allow your Village Pottery to cool completely before cleaning. Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth. For wax residue, you can carefully scrape it off once hardened, or place the piece in the freezer for a few minutes to make the wax easier to remove. Never submerge in water or put in the dishwasher.
Are Village Pottery items safe to use?
Yes, when used properly! Always:
- Place on a heat-resistant, stable surface
- Keep away from flammable materials
- Never leave a burning candle unattended
- Keep out of reach of children and pets
- Ensure proper ventilation
- Allow to cool completely before moving or cleaning
Can I collect and display multiple Village Pottery pieces together?
